Stock Photo - 16 September 2019, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Greifswald: Stefan Fassbinder, Lord Mayor, is standing on the Greifswald market with a load wheel. From 16 September 2019, three different load bikes can be borrowed free of charge in Greifswald as part of the EU project ""Cobium"" (Cargo bikes in urban mobility). The project aims to analyse the areas in which the use of load bikes makes economic, social and ecological sense and can ultimately replace motor vehicle journeys. Three other cities in the southern Baltic region are involved, Växjö in Sweden, Gdynia and S·upsk in Poland. A total of around 1.5 million euros from the Interreg South Baltic programme will be available by the end of 2020.
