Stock Photo - 17 January 2021, Saxony-Anhalt, Coswig: View over the river Elbe to the castle Coswig. Originally, the castle was a Renaissance building, which had been erected in the 16th century. In 1667 the complex on the Elbe was demolished. The subsequent reconstruction, this time in the Baroque style, lasted until 1674. In this form, the castle survived the following centuries.
