Stock Photo - 17 July 2019, Brandenburg, Pfalzheim: A sign ""Gefahrbereich - Betreten Verboten"" (danger area - forbidden entry) in Sielmann's natural landscape Kyritz-Ruppiner Heide warns against leaving the paths. The grounds of the former bombodrome can be explored by horse-drawn carriage, bicycle or on foot. The military training area was established by the Soviet Union after the Second World War and covers a total of about 12700 hectares. Today, with its many rare animals and plants, it is particularly important for nature conservation in Germany. The national natural heritage sites are maintained and developed by the Heinz Sielmann Foundation together with the Federal Institute for Real Estate Management (BIMA).
