According to the operator, Oderhaff-Reederei Peters (Ueckermünde), the new construction costs around 700,000 euros and is 45 percent subsidised. The electric solar passenger ferry will shuttle between the mainland port of Kamp (Vorpommern-Greifswald) and Karnin on the island of Usedom and replaces a conventional ferry that has already been taken out of service.
