Stock Photo - 18 December 2020, Saxony, Leipzig: Construction workers erect the column garden in front of the new building of the Sächsische Aufbaubank (SAB). The architecturally sophisticated building was originally scheduled for completion in 2019, but the insolvency of the general planner delayed the project. Completion is now planned for mid-2021. In July, the first 200 employees are to move from Dresden to Leipzig, and later there will be 400 employees. The Aufbaubank is the central development institution of the Free State. During the Corona crisis, for example, it was responsible for applying for emergency aid. Originally, the bank was to move completely to Leipzig, but now part of it will remain in Dresden.
