After a turbulent jaunt with a stolen car, a drunken 24-year-old fled on Monday evening in Ludwigsburg in Baden-Württemberg on foot - but not without reporting his crime to the police himself by telephone. Nevertheless, the police had to use a helicopter to search for the fugitive, as the responsible presidium announced on Tuesday. The adventurer was finally picked up at his home. The young man had stolen the car in Böblingen without a driver's license and was then driven away. In Ludwigsburg he then lost control: he drove straight over a roundabout, grazed a parked car and a tree, until the car stopped at a house wall. The driver injured himself slightly - and ran away. The man had to spend the night sobering up at the police station. Photo: Dettenmeyer/SDMG/dpa. - Ludwigsburg/Baden-Wuerttemberg/Germany
