At the time, an alliance wanted to draw attention to the problems caused by vacancies, rising rents and increasing gentrification in the city. The building is one of currently 70 houses that are the focus of the ""Arbeitsgemeinschaft Problemimmobilien"" (working group for problem properties), in which various offices of the Leipzig city administration have come together.
