Stock Photo - 18 July 2019, Saxony, Borna: View on the A72 from Borna in direction Eula. Construction work on the Autobahn 72 from Chemnitz to Leipzig is making progress. At the beginning of August, the penultimate section Borna-Rötha in the direction of Chemnitz is to be opened for traffic, as announced by the State Office for Road Construction and Traffic in Dresden. The overall release for section 5.1 is planned for the end of September. It is about 9.5 kilometers long and costs around 144 million euros. In the coming year there will be some remaining work.
