Four inner-city railroad crossings in Lübbenau are to be abolished by 2027. Traffic in the Spreewald town of Lübbenau is to flow better in the future. To this end, four level crossings in the city center will be eliminated and bridges built in their place. On Tuesday, the groundbreaking ceremony was held for the construction of the tunnel under the railroad tracks of the railroad crossing Berliner Straße/Karl-Marx-Straße on the state road L 49. Deutsche Bahn and the state of Brandenburg as well as the district of Oberspreewald-Lausitz and the city are jointly implementing the project. It is scheduled for completion at the end of 2027.
