Stock Photo - 19 July 2023, Saxony-Anhalt, Halberstadt: The Cathedral of St. Stephen and St. Sixtus is one of the most beautiful Gothic cathedrals in Germany. Its delicate architecture was built from the 13th to the 15th century according to the French model. A special feature at Halberstadt Cathedral is the cathedral treasure - the world's largest medieval cathedral treasure outside the Vatican. Of more than 1,250 treasures, 300 precious items are presented. Highlights of the collection are the oldest knitted tapestries in Europe, Byzantine textile and goldsmith's works, vestments of gold and silk as well as carvings and cuts of ivory and rock crystal.
