During a commemoration of the Battle of Seelow Heights 78 years ago, 67 German soldiers were embedded at the war cemetery in Lietzen on Thursday. During the major offensive of the Red Army starting on April 16, 1945, the village of Lietzen south of Seelow was also overrun by a roll of fire, the German War Graves Commission announced.
