Stock Photo - 20 June 2018, Germany, Sieversdorf: Gunnar Schmid, organ builder of the organ workshop Scheffler, is busy adjusting the clay cone of a wind chest of a Sauer organ from 1904. In comparison to the century-long tradition of the craft, the Sieversdorf organ workshop is relatively young. Christian Scheffler founded the company in 1990. The main work of the workshop is concentrated around the restoration and reconstruction of mechanic and pneumatic organs of the 19th and 20th centry. The organ workshop restored important instruments of the late Romanticism period in many parts of Germany and other European countries. Among them are the Walcker organ in Sternberg (Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania), the Sauer organ of the Leipzig St. Thomas Church and the Cathedral in Bremen.
