On weekend 29. and 30.06.2019 the International German Championships in Tentpegging will be held in Krügersdorf near Beeskow. Teams from South Africa, Norway and the Netherlands come to the small village to play against three German teams. Tentpegging is about hitting small, smartphone-sized targets (pegs) on the ground with a lance or a saber in a fast gallop, or splitting oranges or apples in a full gallop. This is done in individual competitions or - even faster - in teams of up to four riders. Tentpegging is gaining more and more fans in Germany. In countries such as South Africa, Australia and other Commonwealth countries, Tentpegging has long outgrown its niche existence. In Asian countries such as Pakistan and India, thousands of people come to the events. The ""German Tentpegging Union"" promotes the spread of this exciting sport in Germany and Europe.
