The painter first had an old railroad carriage set up as his summer domicile and then built his living quarters and studio. This summer, the museum is showing works from the painter's collection under the title ""Usedom - In the Mirror of Painting and Graphics"". The painter Otto Niemeyer, born in Kiel in 1896, settled on Usedom in 1933 and found his motifs there. His estate is now a museum.
