Stock Photo - 21 April 2020, Brandenburg, Beelitz/Gemeinde Klaistow: Several cars are waiting next to a sign saying ""Beelitzer Spargel to go"" to be served at a small sales stand in the car park. In the foreground is the question on a blackboard: ""Which sauce would you like?"". The drive-in is open daily and was set up because the restaurant had to be closed due to the Corona pandemic. The Asparagus and Adventure Farm Klaistow is a family business. In 1991, master gardener Jörg Buschmann and businessman Ernst-August Winkelmann had revived the tradition of asparagus cultivation in Beelitz on eleven hectares in the village. In the meantime, the cultivation area for asparagus covers about 800 hours, with white asparagus growing on 775 hectares and green asparagus on the remaining 25 hectares.
