The traditional shop was opened on 08.06.1922, at that time haberdashery, arts and crafts and books were on offer, there was a reading room for newspapers. In the mid-90s the listed building was extensively renovated and insulated and since then it can also be used as a salesroom in winter. For many decades, the ""Bunte Stube"" has offered its customers books, arts and crafts, fashion, natural goods, jewellery and painting and graphics.
