The model project ""New Tree University Branitz"" of the Federal Government for the preservation of historic gardens in climate change was presented. A new era of the 176-year-old Branitz Tree University is to be established on the grounds of a former market garden. The outdoor park will feature large cultivation areas for woody plant propagation and experimental plantings, as well as greenhouse facilities with laboratories. The old Branitz Tree University and the early bedding yard in the historic castle nursery, on the other hand, are to be developed into a teaching and display garden with event rooms for visitors.
