Stock Photo - 21 September 2020, Brandenburg, Boitzenburg: Sheep stand on a pasture in front of the remains of the monastery ruins. About 20 kilometres west of Prenzlau and about 80 kilometres north of Berlin lies the small town of Boitzenburg in the Uckermark. The Cistercian nuns had the Marienpforte convent here until the Thirty Years' War. Today, only the walls of the buildings remind us of the former beauty of the monastery. The monument is located at the end of the village, just behind the monastery mill. Photo: Patrick Pleul/dpa-Zentralbild/ZB. - Boitzenburg/Brandenburg/Germany
