There was a tour of the site by the Autobahn GmbH des Bundes on the same day. This 742-metre-long structure is the longest motorway bridge in the state of Brandenburg. The foundations and arches date back to the 1930s. Steel segments were renewed in the 1990s. Plans are currently underway to completely rebuild the bridge. This should be completed in ten years at the latest. About 60,000 vehicles pass over the Mühlenfließ Bridge every day. There are around 27,000 motorway bridges in the whole of Germany.
