Stock Photo - 22 October 2020, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Koserow: A mobile crane on a pontoon is used to erect the new pier on the beach of the island of Usedom. The pier is to project some 280 metres into the sea, but its curved shape will look different from previous piers on the Baltic Sea. According to the plans, the special features are, in addition to a wave-like appearance in plan view, an almost square bridgehead with a bell tower. The construction is being financed by EU funds.
