Stock Photo - 24 February 2021, Saxony-Anhalt, Jerichow: A volunteer helps to build a toad fence at the NABU district association Jerichower Land. On the other side of the fence is a road behind which lies the Bucher-Brak-Bölsdorfer Haken nature reserve. Every spring, amphibians head there to lay their eggs. The toad fence was erected this afternoon to prevent the animals from being killed by cars on their way to the water. It is 800 meters long and will be checked every day until the end of the toad migration. Photo: Klaus-Dietmar Gabbert/dpa-Zentralbild/ZB. - Jerichow/Saxony-Anhalt/Germany
