The major European truck manufacturers had been agreeing prices for years and had therefore already been fined around four billion euros by the EU Commission. Now truck buyers are also demanding compensation. 3200 forwarders claim back 867 million euros, including interest, for 84 000 allegedly overpriced trucks. The forwarders have assigned their claims to the Financialright claims litigation service provider.
