Stock Photo - 25 August 2022, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Schwerin: A photo exhibition on the grounds of the Folklore Open-Air Museum Mueß shows the everyday work of inland fishermen in the Schlei region and on Lake Schwerin. For months, employees of the museum have been documenting the work of the fishermen and thus want to preserve for posterity the tradition and peculiarity of this craft, which is becoming increasingly extinct. In Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, according to the Ministry of Agriculture, around 350 people are still employed in inland fishing businesses and generate an annual turnover of 22 million euros.
