The capsule contained a newspaper as well as five coins, including a presumed lucky penny, an 1871 Victory Stamp with the likeness of Prussian King Wilhelm (commemorative coin for the Franco-Prussian War of 1871) and a 1-pound silver Victory Stamp from 1867.
