With a length of 1,200 meters, the section is one of the largest in the Harz region. Now the common toads in particular are starting to migrate. As a result of the mild temperatures of the past few days, these animals are slowly becoming active again. As soon as the night temperatures no longer drop below six degrees, the toads, toads, newts, salamanders and frogs begin their spring migration to their traditional spawning grounds.
