An engine power plant from MAN with seven modules now supplies a thermal output of 80 megawatts and an electrical output of 88 megawatts here at the site. This will replace the previous lignite-fired power plant for heat and power generation. The engine units can be switched on within a few minutes, making them much more flexible than the previous coal-fired power plant.
