Stock Photo - 26 February 2020, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Pasewalk: View of a brick from the brickwork of the Elendenhaus in Pasewalk. The brick of the construction period was intentionally bricked upright with the flat side. It has two stampings with a star or floral motif on its ""front"" side and a cross-shaped incision, which were added to the green body before firing. With the help of the Deutsche Stiftung Denkmalschutz (German Foundation for Monument Protection), the Protestant church community can renovate the so-called Elendenhaus. The building on the southern edge of the former churchyard wall around St. Mary's Church was built between 1350 and 1400, was originally used for the care of the poor and sick and, along with the two churches, is one of the oldest preserved buildings in the city of Vorpommern. The miserable house is now to be extensively renovated. Photo: Stefan Sauer/dpa-Zentralbild/dpa. - Pasewalk/Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania/Germany
