At the press conference to mark the completion of a section of the extensive construction work at Wernigerode Castle, the finished construction sections were presented. In the course of the work, the church roof and the flight of steps leading to the large terrace were renovated. A total of 2.6 million euros was allocated for the two construction phases. With its museum, Wernigerode Castle is a center for 19th-century art and cultural history and also a Harz landmark, film set and architectural monument.
