In the afternoon, the Bundeswehr transport flies Covid 19 patients to Münster/Osnabrück airport as part of the Kleeblatt concept. In Bavaria, 1037 Covid critically ill patients are currently being treated in intensive care units; that is more than one third of all intensive care patients in the Free State. In about half of all Bavarian counties and larger cities, intensive care beds are in short supply. That is why there are growing problems with the admission and care of emergency patients, some of whom have to be transported over very long distances.
