Stock Photo - 27 May 2020, Brandenburg, Kleinmachnow: Partially overgrown railway embankments and remains of a buffer stop near Berlepschstraße and the former Düppel S-Bahn station. The main railway is the approximately straight-line railway connection between Potsdam via Griebnitzsee, Kleinmachnow and Zehlendorf to Berlin/Potsdamer Platz, which went into operation in 1838 as the first Prussian railway line and was extended to Magdeburg. The connection was destroyed in the war and is still interrupted today. There are several proposals for the revival of the main line, but also protests from an alliance of conservationists and local residents.
