Stock Photo - 27 September 2022, Brandenburg, Groß Schönebeck: An otter (Lutra lutra) can be seen in its enclosure at Schorfheide Wildlife Park. Otters are adapted to aquatic life and belong to the marten family (Mustelidae). They can grow up to 1.20 meters long and are among the best swimmers among land predators. The otter has the densest fur of native wild animals. There are up to 70,000 hairs on one square centimeter of skin - humans, on the other hand, have only about 200 hairs on their heads over the same area.
