The reactivation of the so-called Heidekrautbahn from Gesundbrunnen station high to the northeast is one of three new expansion projects for Berlin's hinterland traffic. In the evening the Heidekrautbahnkonferenz takes place. A planning agreement will then be signed between the federal states of Berlin/Brandenburg and Niederbarnimer Eisenbahn AG (NEB). The Heidekrautbahn went from the S-Bahn station Berlin-Wilhelmsruh until the Wall was built, was cut at the city border to the Reinickendorf district after the Wall was built, and then only travelled the fuselage section north of the Berlin Wall from Schildow (Oberhavel).
