Stock Photo - 29 March 2021, Saxony-Anhalt, Halle: An oversized sign advertises the Star Park on the A14 motorway. The 230-hectare industrial estate was originally created in 2000 to accommodate BMW. After Leipzig was awarded the contract for the plant, the area lay fallow for years. In recent years, various logistics companies and automotive suppliers have settled here due to the favourable location near Leipzig/Halle Airport and the connection to two motorways. According to the city of Halle, these companies have invested more than three quarters of a billion euros in the past six years. Almost 2000 new jobs have been created. At the moment, only 4 hectares of space are still available. (Aerial view with drone) Photo: Jan Woitas/dpa-Zentralbild/ZB. - Halle/Saxony-Anhalt/Germany
