An apartment fire in the municipality of Klein Zecher (Duchy of Lauenburg County) has triggered a large-scale firefighting operation. According to a police spokesman, the roof truss caught fire in the night to Wednesday. It is a barn converted into an apartment, which is inhabited by an 80-year-old woman alone. The woman could be rescued from the flames in time. She was in shock and was treated, but did not sustain any injuries. The firefighting work was still ongoing in the early hours of Wednesday morning. Details of property damage or cause of the fire, the police could not initially call.
