The outstanding fragments and ornaments of figures were recovered in the mid-19th century and in the 1970s and 1990s during excavations on the site of the former monastery church in Gerbstedt (Mansfeld-South Harz). The results of the technological, scientific and cultural-historical investigations will be published in an inventory catalogue. A representative selection will be shown in 2021 in the new section of the permanent exhibition of the Landesmuseum. Photo: Hendrik Schmidt/dpa-Zentralbild/dpa. - Halle (Saale)/Saxony-Anhalt/Germany
