The laboratory is the central testing facility of the Diagnosticum medical practice located in Neukirchen near Chemnitz. All tests for the clarification of infectious diseases are carried out here using the PCR method - polymerase chain reaction - and for weeks now also the tests for Covid-19. The practice is one of 97 in Germany currently testing corona tests. Of the approximately 300,000 tests carried out in Germany every week, about 9100 are examined in Plauen.
