During his four-day trip to the Balkans, German President Steinmeier is visiting the countries of northern Macedonia and Albania. In addition to the situation in the region and the effects of the Russian war of aggression in Ukraine, the trip will focus on Germany's support for the countries' prospects of joining the European Union.
