Transporting people, groceries, livestock, or even small vehicles, a legendary American airplane is sometimes the only connection between remote jungle villages and the rest of the world. The DC-3 pilots praise the airplane for its simplicity, reliability and for a rugged construction that allows it to land/take off on short unpaved airstrips in the jungle.
