In September 2015 work began on the old site, which was reduced to a length of 280 meters and a width of 12 meters, and now is being completely rebuilt. 4.5 million euros have been invested in the construction. All work should be complete by the start of the new cruise season on 28 April 2016 with arrival of the 'AIDAdiva.' With 175 port calls last year (2015), Warnemuende was the most active cruise ship port in Germany. 182 port calls are expected for 2016.
