Stock Photo - A sculpture from the First World War has been unveiled in Glasgow as part of Scotland's Poppy Appeal. The 23 foot travelling statue, 'Every Man Remembered' depicts the figure of the Unknown Soldier in brass standing on a block of limestone from near the Somme river, the site of one of the war's bloodiest battles. The sculpture is encased in glass with hundreds of poppies floating around it. It is the first time the statue has been unveiled in Scotland, having previously gone on show in London and Cardiff. Designed by artist Mark Humphrey, the artwork is part of a four-year campaign aimed at honouring each of the 1,117,077 commonwealth servicemen and women who died in the First World War.
