Stock Photo - A view of the 'Black Wall' between Blocks 10 and 11 in the former Auschwitz concentration camp in Oswiecim, Poland, 26 June 2017. Executions have taken place at the 'Black Wall' in the yard between Block 10 and 11 until December 1943. The major paramilitary organization in Nazi Germany, SS (Schutzstaffel, lit. 'Protection Squadron') ran the concentration and death camp between 1940 and 1945. Approximately 1.1 to 1.5 million people, most of them Jewish, have been killed in the camp and its satellites. Auschwitz stands as the symbol for the industrialized mass murder and the holocaust of Nazi Germany. Who was not killed in the gas chambers died of exhaustion, undernourishment, torture, medical experiments or executions. Photo: Jan Woitas/dpa-Zentralbild/dpa | usage worldwide. - Oswiecim/Poland
