For months, employees of the museum have been documenting the work of inland fishermen and thus want to preserve for posterity the tradition and peculiarity of a craft that is becoming increasingly extinct. In Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, according to the Ministry of Agriculture, there are still around 350 employees working in inland fishing businesses, generating an annual turnover of 22 million euros.
