The room serves as a kitchen, living room and bedroom. Harry, a former carpenter and chain smoker from Cologne, will celebrate his 88th birthday this year. He has been living in the self-constructed cabin without electricity and water for 38 years, he says. He gets up at sunrise and goes to sleep at sunset. He does not consume alcohol or meat and does not smoke, choosing to eat fruit, salad and yogurt instead. 'I'm my own master here and perfectly happy. That's more than enough for me!' Harry says.
