The Askoy II was the largest sailing yacht in Belgium in the 1960s. The ship belonged, among others, to Jacques Brel, who made a world tour with it. For more than 10 years, the yacht lay sunk in New Zealand. In 2008, it was unearthed and brought back to Belgium. After 15 years of restoration, the ship was brought out on June 6. There, the final works are now being carried out before the ship will be launched. BELGA PHOTO KURT DESPLENTER.
