Kind en Gezin, the Child and Family agency of the Flemish government, has suspended the owner of the center, after she was convicted for child abuse. The center remained open because only the woman was convicted, and not her legal association, managing the day care center. After several incidents in day care centers accross Flanders, the Flemish Parliament has decided it will install an investigating commission concerning the problems in the field.
