Performing live and wearing a sequinned show girl costume accessorised with rainbow feather plumage to celebrate Pride season, she was watched from the wings by X Factor's Craig Colton who wrote the song and husband Kieran Hayler. Introducing Katie, G-A-Y club owner Jeremy Joseph warned the crowd it was either going to be a car crash or brilliant as she hadn't rehearsed or even met the dancers until that night, and he promised to donate £1,000 to the Elton John AIDS Foundation if she sang live. True to his word, as Katie tossed her bouquet of flowers in to the audience, he handed over the cash at the end of the show.
