The new exhibition will open on 04 November 2017 on the 170th anniversary of Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy's death. The exhibition spans more than three floors in the preserved house where the composer lived and died - and which is now dedicated to the life and work of Fanny Hensel, the older sister of Mendelssohn Bartholdy. The International Kurt Masur Institute will also be based here in the near future. The Institute aims to preserve the Masur's heritage and to conserve his memories for the following generations.
