Stock Photo - Madrid Spain; 10.27.2022.- Imagine, the journey to the counterculture of the 60s and 70s by the great Polish director Krystian Lupa, is presented at the Teatros del Canal, which hosts the premiere in Spain. The five-hour show is scheduled for this Friday and Saturday in the Red Room and is inspired by the famous song by John Lennon. Imagine is an artistic journey when it was believed possible to go from what Lupa calls a man of war to a man of peace, that of the hippie generation, that of the ""new era"", of which the Polish director was a part. Krystian Lupa is one of the great European directors, as well as a set designer and writer. Born in Poland in 1943, he is considered the successor of the two most representative figures of the Polish scene of the 20th century: Grotowski and Kantor. Lupa made his debut as a director in 1976 with El matadero, and at the end of that decade he conceived his own works, The transparent room (1979) and The dinner (1980).
