These is a long-standing rural traditional carnival in which the forces of good and evil confront each other in a symbolic battle, during which the thirst for justice stirs up public rage. It is the most famous traditional carnival festivity in Navarre. In the 60's it was to dessapear, but they got well known after Caro Baroja brothers filmed them in 1964.
