In his lawsuit against the city, the painter's relative, John Mucha, center, claims that Prague never became the owner of the cycle of paintings since it did not fulfil the author's prerequisite of building a special exhibition space for them. Alfons Mucha (1860-1939) painted his Slav Epic cycle with motifs from the legends and more or less remote history of Slavonic nations in 1911-1928.
